Description:
Drive Six Sigma breakthrough strategy across the business. Black belts are a cadre of individual contributors from various discipline areas which, upon completion of of an arduous training process serve as change agents, tool mentors, and assit six sigma champions. The black belts are the paradigm shifters within an organization. They provide project management for each six sigma activity within the business. They stimulate thinking by posing new ways of doing things, challenge conventional wisdom and develop others. Uncover and assess global GEMS and supplier six sigma opportunities, develop plans and resources required to implement. Institutionalize six sigma as a business priority and global measurement. Develop and conduct education as needed. Constantly seek and share, both inside and outside GE, best practices, and appropriately update training and communications to provide business continuous improvement and quantum change opportunities. Rely upon team creativity and team support to truly strive for stretch objectives.
A six sigma black belt is a person who is technically oriented, highly regarded within their respective discipline or line of work, and are actively involved in the process of organizational change and development.
Qualifications:
• BS or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Change agent with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices.
• Global mindset and cultural sensitivity.
• Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated boundryless team player and empowerer.
• Strong PC skills.
• Relish and Stimulate change - a demonstrated change agent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Statistics experience or education.
• Supplier relationship experience.
• Demonstrated ability to mobilize commitment from other functions.
• Second language.
• Experience using CAP tools and techniques.
• Diverse manufacturing process experience.
• Self-starter, takes initiative to make improvements.
